All Things New Creative Opener |  2024  |  Calvary Church
For Easter, we wanted to try something new at Calvary Church. So we did! As the creative team planned the services, I was tasked with developing an engaging creative opener that would connect with the powerful analogy our senior pastor planned on illustrating.
My team and I worked to orchestrate this film shoot at Supply in Lancaster - using their unique space to project a film on the back wall behind the string musicians. We wanted to highlight the story of Christ being tried and sent for execution - while still keeping his accusation and sacrifice powerful, yet hopeful. Using vibrant imagery accompanied by the beautiful bass, cello, and violins, we wanted to start the service out with movement both audibly and visually.
It was fantastic to collaborate with four of the most melodic string musicians from our volunteer orchestra. As someone who doesn't have any rhythm, I have a new appreciation for their craft.
I wanted to include the analogy from our Senior Pastor - as it's such a strong message to hear and to show how the theming connects with the opener.
All Things New Series Roll-in |  2024  |  Calvary Church
The roll-in for the Easter series was quite the endeavor! We ordered bunches of beautiful, fresh cut flowers to build out our scene over a three day shoot using a macro lens to get all the emasculate detailing of the flower petals, leaves, and greenery.
I'm thankful to work with many green-thumbed girls who cared for the flowers and helped set-up every single scene that we shot on both a crane and gimbal!
